Come and join myself and my family on the paradise island of Samoa. I live here with my husband Mark, and my 2 daughters Debbie and Jasmine, and our newly adopted son David. We aim to offer that home from home experience that many seek but fail to find. We literally ask you to join our family for the duration of your holiday, and hope you make the kind of friendships that last a lifetime. So come and join us in Samoa where the sun is hot, the drinks are cool and the beaches are the white sandy coral you've seen in all the brochures. With children of our own and one grand-daughter as well, we know the problems you often find trying to get places for families. We will endeavor to ensure that the kids are kept happy to and we won't charge you the earth for their stay either. But don't be put off if you're on your own, we have a price to cater for you to, however tight your budget, and we'll be your home from home here in paradise. So click on the link to the accommodation page and browse through what we have to offer you. Please feel free to contact us through our contact us page and let us bid you "Afio mai" (welcome) to Bertie's B&B.
Mariana is the mother of four, three girls and one boy. The eldest girl Zyanya and our son Robbie have elected to stay in the UK while Debbie and Jasmine are with us here in Samoa. Mariana is the proud grandmother of the families little treasure, Tamiya, the cheekiest young girl in England. Mariana was born in Lotofaga, Safata on the island of Upolu. She graduated from her college Maluafou, Apia and then embarked on a series of journeys which via many South Sea Islands and Australia ended with her living 15 years in Ipswich on the East Coast of England. She worked within the Catering Department of a large hospital and obtained all her food hygiene certificates, before moving on to work as a carer for the elderly. She holds all relevant first aid and caring qualifications. We can therefore assure you that your food will be wholesome and healthy, and any little accidents or even emergencies will be dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Mark is English by birth and has moved to Samoa with Mariana to live the good life. He has worked within the logistics industry for most of his working life and holds a full English license for driving both lorries and coaches. If you elect to take up any of our services which involve bus or van transport Mark will be your driver and you can rely on a safe journey. We can offer both airport collections and tours of the island just let us know what you require and we will endeavor to see to your needs.
We are located at Vaitele, which is about 4 miles from the center of the Capital of Samoa, Apia. A cab to the bars and nightclubs in town is only $12.00 tala and a bus only $1.50 tala. We are close to the golf course and to the new government sports complex which was built for the 2007 South Pacific games and beyond. We are also close to Yazaki Eds Samoa and the Vailima Brewery for those of you who wish to combine business with pleasure. If you have any questions as to where we are in relation to any tourist or business locations just drop us an e-mail via our contact us page and we will be glad to answer them. We can provide hire cars to be delivered to the airport at Faleolo or an airport transfer here and have your car waiting for you here. We often find after a long flight our guests prefer being collected rather than trying to locate us themselves, often in the dark, and the cost of delivery to the airport is the same as being collected anyway. If you have any questions or requests just let us know and we'll endeavour to accommodate you.
